What to Expect
Here is what will happen the day of your visit.
Upon your arrival at PET/CT Services of Florida, you will be asked to complete some paperwork. Your photo ID and insurance cards will be copied for our records.
Our technologist will take you from our waiting area to an injection room, where they will then take your blood sugar level and place an IV catheter. You will then receive an injection of FDG-18 (Flurodeoxyglucose), the IV catheter will be removed and you will rest quietly and comfortably for approximately 30 to 45 minutes. After that “uptake” time, you will then be positioned on the scanning table where you will remain for approximately 15 minutes. Your scan will then be complete.
You may resume all normal activities after completing your scan. Please take a moment to rate the services you received today by completing the survey available in the lobby. We constantly strive to improve and enhance your experience and appreciate your comments and suggestions.
